Welcome to the WOUB Center for Public Media, home of WOUB Radio and Television. The Center is an exciting environment where staff and students diligently work to provide the best programs and services possible to adults and children in southeastern Ohio, western West Virginia, and northeastern Kentucky. Whether they are national programs such as NOVA, Frontline, Sesame Street, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, Morning Edition or All Things Considered, or local productions like HealthVision, Newswatch, Gridiron Glory, or Live from Fur Peace Ranch, WOUB Radio and Television are here to provide the best there is, anywhere. Tune in and see (or hear) for yourself. In addition, you will find many other services such as audio and video production, media distribution, distance learning, teleconferencing, student professional development, community outreach, ready to learn, engineering consulting services, and more. We train nearly 250 students a year in all areas of broadcasting and telecommunications toward preparing them for their professional careers. I invite you to visit us whenever you are in the area. We are located in the Radio, Television, and Communication (RTVC) Building at 9 South College Street on the campus of Ohio University in Athens. We welcome individual tours and tour groups. Just give us a call at 740-593-1771 or 800-456-2044. Our e-mail address is tv@woub.org. Sincerely, Carolyn Bailey Lewis |
