Gordon checks the script; taps on the screen; and reprimands a startled Connee for not
following the script. Connee sobs as she gets back to work. Yet Connee was
following the script. The script simply required that she pretended not to be
following it. She could not not follow the script.
Which is the
"real" Connee? The one on Scott's television, or the one she watches in 45701
reruns on her own television? |

Two of the artists Alan Starr has hired to paint tablecloths at the '701 Club' also end up
painting frescoes--the subject of which is themselves painting tablecloths.
There is some confusion as to which
tablecloths they are referring to in their conversation...the ones in the frescoes, or the
"real" ones. |
